Lens Curvature Correction

Correcting distortion due to lens curvature can be done in Adobe Premiere using the Lens Distortion effect. Find this effect under:

  • Video Effects
    • Distort
      • Lens Distortion

You will be applying a negative curvature in order to “remove” distortion as opposed to creating distortion as the effect name implies. Each camera, lens, and shooting mode comes with an associated curvature number. Below is a collection of curvatures for common cameras. In Adobe CC, these come pre-installed as presets.
